This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just ahead of Thotar provides you with a taming Rod to get a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will give you a number of 3 taming rods, each is different and lets you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

Once you've finished the taming Element of the Quest chain, you have got to head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot during the Valley of Honor so as to unlock your pet managing capabilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; read review Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Last but not least, don't forget to go to the Pet Trainer and get the Pet abilities that you have got to give to your companion pet.
